Scientific Name: Chrysopogon Zizanioides, known as vetiver or khus

full sun drought and flooding tolerant.

This grass is used for soil conservations, this grass using its deep-reaching roots holds the soil in place.  These same roots are used to extract its essential oil Vetiver. In the Latino community, it's known as pachouli (a tan color root) is used in prep'd Florida water bottles.
